A short séjour in Bourgogne
After a successful tour in the Netherlands, the Paris CMC headed to the beautiful Burgundy region in France for a concert to celebrate the birthday of our friend and supporter Jean-Phillipe. After taking the train from Paris to Dijon, Marie, Kyle, Alice and Ricardo spent the evening touring the beautiful city center of old Dijon.
The next morning, we hopped in a taxi to the Burgundian countryside where we presented a string trio version of Bach's Goldberg Variations. As usual, our audience was welcoming, enthusiastic and generous and we enjoyed sharing the moment and beautiful music with them.
We ended our stay by being treated (in typical French fashion) to a wonderful 6-course meal accompanied by fantastic vins de Bourgogne in the presence of our hosts Isabelle and Jean-Phillipe and their friends and family. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend, full of friends, conversation, food, wine and (not least of all) great music. Thank you for showing us a wonderful time! Now we look forward to launching our "Encounters with Chamber Music" Series in Paris on November 25 with a final presentation of the Bach Goldberg Variations.
