To end the season, we will venture through the mind of Mozart by way of one of his most delightful works: the Kegelstatt Trio. This work for clarinet, viola and piano shows Mozart’s love of conversation, fun and friends. We’ll dive into this work to explore what makes Mozart one of the most masterful of composers.
Ricardo will take us on an exploration of the great composers’ solo piano works. We will discover how composers have written for the piano throughout the centuries while learning how the evolution of the instrument itself allowed these composers to reach new heights of virtuosity.
Join us for our debut event of the season where we’ll take a journey through the elegant and exhilarating sounds of the string trio. With violist Kyle Collins and pianist Ricardo Forcinito, we will explore two masterworks of two titans of German Romanticism, Robert Schumann and Franz Schubert. What unifies these two composers’ styles? What sets them apart from one another? How did they translate their often troubled lives into works that span an array of emotion? Come and discover the answers to these questions and many more in the debut event of the Paris Chamber Music Circle presented by the Friends of the American Conservatory of Paris.
